Faith • Civilization • Theology provides immediate open access to its published scholarship. Readers may access published article landing pages and PDFs without subscription, payment, registration or embargo.
Access and availability
All published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication. The journal does not impose a subscription charge, reader fee, registration requirement or embargo period.
Copyright and publication rights
Authors retain copyright in their work. By publishing with the journal, authors grant Faith • Civilization • Theology the non-exclusive right of first publication and the right to identify, distribute and preserve the journal version of record.
Creative Commons licence
Unless an article clearly states otherwise, original journal content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0).
Under CC BY 4.0, readers may copy, redistribute, translate, adapt and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that they:
- give appropriate credit to the author and the journal;
- provide a link to the licence;
- indicate whether changes were made; and
- do not imply endorsement by the author or journal.
Fees
There are no manuscript submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), publication fees or mandatory author charges.
Third-party material
Images, figures, datasets, quotations or other third-party material may be subject to separate copyright terms. Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions and identifying material that is not covered by the article’s Creative Commons licence. Users must respect any separately stated rights or restrictions.
Permanent scholarly record
The journal seeks to maintain stable public article landing pages and downloadable PDFs as part of the scholarly record. Published article URLs should not be renamed or removed except where correction, retraction, legal obligation or publication-ethics requirements make action necessary.
Editorial standards
Open access does not alter the journal’s standards for peer review, editorial independence, research integrity, correction or attribution. Authors and readers remain responsible for observing copyright, citation and ethical requirements.
