Faith • Civilization • Theology is an independent Australian scholarly online journal devoted to Christian faith, biblical studies, theology, early Christianity, church history, religion and society, and interdisciplinary research concerning Christianity and civilisation.
The journal publishes original academic articles, historical studies, theological research, review essays, theological reflections, and interdisciplinary scholarship. It seeks to provide a serious and accessible forum for research concerning Christianity within its biblical, historical, theological, cultural, intellectual, ethical, and social contexts.
The journal welcomes work that brings together biblical studies, theology, history, ethics, religious studies, cultural analysis, and related disciplines. Its purpose is to support careful, responsible, and well-sourced scholarship while remaining accessible to researchers, clergy, students, independent scholars, and informed readers.
Faith • Civilization • Theology is published online in numbered and dated volumes and issues as a continuing scholarly publication. The journal commenced publication in July 2026 with Volume 1, Issue 1 and is intended to continue indefinitely with no predetermined final issue.
The journal was founded by Daniel J. Grace, who serves as Founder and Editor-in-Chief. Editorial responsibility includes assessment of submissions for relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, originality, clarity of argument, responsible use of sources, scholarly or theological contribution, and compliance with the journal’s editorial and publication policies.
Where appropriate, manuscripts may undergo independent peer review or editorial assessment by members of the journal’s reviewer and editorial network.

Publication schedule
Volume 1 (2026) is the journal’s launch volume and consists of one inaugural issue: Volume 1, Issue 1 (July–December 2026).
Beginning with Volume 2 (2027), the journal publishes two issues each year:
- Issue 1: January–June
- Issue 2: July–December
Articles may be published continuously within the current issue as soon as peer review, revision and production are complete. The completed issue is closed at the end of its six-month publication period.
